Tex Perkins and The Dark Horses Live

Tex is a giant of a man with a giant voice whose smooth and soulful blues of love and other catastrophes captivated the crowd at Tanks on a chilly Friday night.

Touring in support of a new album “Tunnel at The End of The Light” the set was made up predominantly of Dark Horses material, one punter requested a Cruel Sea song and was told “you’ve got the wrong band mate”

Starting out with “Oh Lucky Me” then into “All is Quiet” from his new album it was a gentle lead in to a pretty fantastic set which deomonstrated what a fine group of musicians make up The Dark Horses, especially with Charlie Owen on keyboards and guitar.

Another great show at Tanks and Tex even came out to sign a few tea towels at the end.
